Hosted by legendary comedian and “Tonight Show” host Jay Leno, the series explores our obsession with all things automotive. From classic cars to supercars and everything in-between, Jay is hitting the road to discover the most exciting, weird and wonderful vehicles ever made and meet the passionate people behind their wheels. Each one-hour themed episode features a mix of stunts, challenges, reviews, and celebrity interviews that showcases the colorful history of the automobile. Whether he’s exploring the story of an iconic brand, road-testing the newest super car, or investigating the latest automotive innovations, there is no wheel Jay won’t get behind to tell the story of our love affair with the car.
About Jay Leno: Acclaimed TV late night show host, admired stand-up comedian, best-selling children’s book author, much-in-demand corporate speaker, lovable TV and movie voice-over artist, pioneering car builder and mechanic, and philanthropist…it’s no wonder that Jay Leno is widely characterized as “the hardest working man in show business.”

So Jay buys a car for $500K, puts another $500K into it, and if the seller had died, it could have been claimed by his estate. Two lessons. Jay is really stinking rich, which we knew. And he really really loves the cars!

I am so glad you have the ability to buy these amazing automobiles, bring them back to their original beauty and that you drive them!! I learn so much from your channel. I only wish my dad were still alive as I know he would enjoy seeing your garage and the amazing collection you have and that you have such a beautiful and spotless shop/garage. Thank you for sharing your collection with us all. Long live the Duesenberg, the Cord and the Auburn boat tail speedster!!

Given the history of that car and many other of his cars, and given the nature and quality and expense of the restoration,,, I wouldn't feel good about even saying that that's the original car..., HOW MUCH WAS LITERALLY REFABRICATED ..., plus that car never looked like that .... So , from the paint which is on it now that didn't exist then , to all of the interior , to the refabricated body, frame , parts and engine. What is there that's original?? Less than half I bet easy..... If I have a old crumbled up dirty Micky mantle baseball card and I clean up the corner of what is not pissed on and refabricate the rest spending whatever the cost to duplicate the original paper and ink, at the end is it a rare Micky mantle baseball card?

Love Leno's garage. Jay is funny by nature but he really shines when he is talking about cars. The fact that he gets into so much detail is mind-blowing. "He wanted $500,000 for the car so I told him I'd write a check, but he didn't want to pay the capital gains". I mean that is super funny. My dream is to visit Jay Leno's garage--with Jay--and solve mentally ill homelessness. In that order.
