Hosted by legendary comedian and “Tonight Show” host Jay Leno, the series explores our obsession with all things automotive. From classic cars to supercars and everything in-between, Jay is hitting the road to discover the most exciting, weird and wonderful vehicles ever made and meet the passionate people behind their wheels. Each one-hour themed episode features a mix of stunts, challenges, reviews, and celebrity interviews that showcases the colorful history of the automobile. Whether he’s exploring the story of an iconic brand, road-testing the newest super car, or investigating the latest automotive innovations, there is no wheel Jay won’t get behind to tell the story of our love affair with the car.
About Jay Leno: Acclaimed TV late night show host, admired stand-up comedian, best-selling children’s book author, much-in-demand corporate speaker, lovable TV and movie voice-over artist, pioneering car builder and mechanic, and philanthropist…it’s no wonder that Jay Leno is widely characterized as “the hardest working man in show business.”

Duesenberg's my favorite cars I remember if I'm not mistaken there was a I've been a Costello movie that the duesenberg was in and had the Pontoon wheel covers or wheel wells whenever you call them yeah just can't can't not love them that's where I got my first introduction I think from that movie another car that I actually own my first car that reminds me of an airplane was the 65 Thunderbird it was a land that audition my first car I got it in 76 to 77 it was meant the interior of that car was designed to look like the cockpit of a plane in every way another cool thing my favorite guitar that I wanted my whole life I know guitars don't have to do with cars but in this case it does 1972 was something when I got the into Johnny Winter was introduced to Johnny Winter it was an album called still alive and well and he holds he holds that guitar in his hands on the front cover as a matter of fact he's like the poster boy for this guitar it's called Gibson and it was designed by a man named Dietrich who also design cars for dusenberg so yeah give some firebird was designed completely by a man who designed dusenburg cars got to love it the closest thing to reduce LOL and I remember if I'm not mistaken from that movie it was in some movie for some reason that I want to say keep saying that blood and Costello it was supercharged and it had those big fat metal ducting I guess you could say from the engine to the exhaust and stuff just amazing I'm going to have to look for your other duesenberg video to watch again thank you Jay for putting your collection out to KGglobal or your internet and making it available to us guys who will have to live driving your cars vicariously through you lol sincerely was, Bob the blind bedroom guitars

Don't you just love how many keys you need. Worked on a $10 millon state of the art made iin Germany machine years ago. Germans NEVER admitted that they could ever make a mistake. We had 2 of our top mechanics and a boss measure a custom made defective prestreched 3 thousand dollar metric chain that we purchased from the prima donna Germans. They said that we were wrong. They flew in a mechanic who after taking measurements said it was defective. Mean while the machine was down for weeks until a replacement chain was flown in. Same with start stop buttons. In the USA for at least last 80 years you can not start equipment if stop button is pushed in while somebody pushes start button but not in German made equipment. Have to say that the Germans make heavy duty well designed long lasting equipment. Their mechanics & electricians were better schooled and out worked the Americans.

Love jays show but he complains about things a fair bit what he likes doesn’t like my biggest thing is when he says cars are meant to be drove not locked away in garage but with all those cars some of them probably don’t get drove hardly ever drive for a few days then it sits for a couple years and you never see people drive his cars he has people come on and some times you can see he really could care less about a lot he just wants to drive their car and he cuts people off when he ask questions then lays into the throttle I’m like would he let people drive his cars I’d say no kinda like the late show it’s not his it’s a torch to be passed he says he’s a custodian for them but he doesn’t let no one drive his cars just a observation

Never in a million years before 2020 would I think that in 2021 I'd have given up sports and TV/Movies because of the horrible celebrities and players yet the last 'celebrity' that I would look up to and admire & would love to meet would be Jay Leno. When I was a kid I saw Jay Leno as the kind of funny late night talk show guy who told lots of dad jokes & never really thought much about him. But now in 2021 he is a hero of mine. His passion for cars is so fun to watch and his down to earth demeanor is now so rare it makes me admire him and appreciate him so much. He really is the last of the good old time celebrities. It really makes me miss the days before the toxic takeover of social media and everyone 'canceling' everyone else for their beliefs and opinions.

As a car guy I listen to him and hang on every word. The other thing I realize as I listen to you Jay is that you are so relaxed and at ease when you talk about the car it's almost as though we are having a private conversation. Everything just flows. Despite all his obvious wealth there is just such humility and "every man" about him. It's sort of intoxicating listening to him.

This amazing car being used as a tow truck and forgotten reminds me of a social experiment I saw a while back. The famous violinist Joshua Bell posed as a busker and played his music free, and nobody appreciated it because they didn't know who he was.

That drivetrain sounds SO MUCH like my bus. It has that weird whine that to me is music. Mine is a flat 6 (10.35 liter) with a non synchro 4 speed, manual almost everything, air over hydraulic...its a bix of 40s, 60s tech, built in the 90s. And the strangest feature, is that Im the second owner, it has the original engine, which is an MAN from 1969, yet it was newly built in 1993....yes, NOS engine from the factory. It was one of the prototypes for static display in the factory, and when it was time to finish this old girl up, they took that and placed in the bus. Shes over a million miles today, needs a lot of work.... I mean, so do I lol. But I love that old thing. And to make it more special, my grandfather was one of the engineers that worked on the design. I still have original manuals, with his hand drawn electrical diagrams from when he was young. Who would have thought, a city bus would be a family heirloom.

What an amazing machine. Jay Leno is one of the few people you can listen to for an hour where the entire conversation is kept interesting in a calm, relaxing voice. No gimmicks needed. Probably one of the few (or only) celebrities that doesn’t seem to think the average Joe in beneath him, or a lower life form not worthy of his respect. Somehow we lost all the decent people in Hollywood.
